Andrew Putnam-Revisions

I moved the cannon tot he right. hopefully it looks more centered now. and did a better shadow.
I fixed the shadow and thats about it...
lots of color changes. next time i do something like this... i'll have to be ridiculously meticulous about elipses..... unfortunately most of my perspective was either loosely drawn in or eyeballed.
More contrast int he face, a brighter reflected light and darkened the background leg.  i tried to sharpen up the nose of the bug a bit and changes the highlighted areas of his jacket to a saturated red instead of a weird blue color.

  1. Ellipses are hard, but there are ways to improve them if you learn the principles & techniques behind them. I just got a great book called "How To Draw" by Scott Robertson that goes in depth on perspective drawing. There's a whole chapter on ellipses. It's amazing. I'll bring it to Concept 2 next semester. I definitely recommend picking up a copy for yourself, though.
