I find my desire to create art stems from my brains invariably active imagination. I Often feel like my brain gets overloaded with ideas and I am compelled to find a way to get them out. This outlet manifests itself in drawing and painting. I am inspired by the intrinsic beauty in the world around me. I love to take that beauty and try and interpret it aesthetically in my own visual language. I’m driven by the concept of heroism and adventure. There is something inspiring about the idea of rising to the occasion and overcoming overwhelming odds. I find this is reflected in my art. I draw heroes and try and tell their story through their body language expression and accessories. The story usually comes before the drawing. When I let my hands draw what they want, by default they will illustrate facets of the worlds in my imagination. I find that I am most inspired by art that takes an old idea and uses it in a new way. That is why I relate closely to concept art. There is something about taking a concept and trying to look at it in a way you wouldn't expect.
